about me

Hi! my name is jordan streeter, aka im avoiding growing up. First and foremost i would like to thank you visiting my site. The support is much appreciated.

Why the name im avoiding growing up?

There are many ways i could answer this question, but i think the story of how i became interested in all things creative explains it in a satisfactory way. In the summer of 2003, my family made a trip to Orlando, FL. On the road, we picked up some supplies from a Wal-Mart. Among these supplies was a double pack of 24 exposure, 400 ISO, disposable cameras. The whole trip i was full of childlike excitement and wonder that i had to capabilities to literally capture light and a moment in time and put it on paper. After getting the film developed one specific picture sticks in my memory till this day: a semi blurry red parrot in mid flight. i believe you should never stop learning, and pausing once in a while to let the world amaze you. Thus, never fully "maturing" or "growing up".

Why photography and video?

i've tried painting, drawing, writing and recording music and even hosting a fake "radio show" on cassette tapes that i would then give to my friends, but visual capture of light, movement and stories have been my primary interests.

Experience and skills.

From animating, to vlogging, to creating corporate recruitment videos for internships, to animating, to preproduction/behind the scenes footage for friend's projects, i like to get involved in all aspects of the film process. my body of work lies within personal projects such as the Great American Roadtrip where me and my friend took 3 weeks to travel across the souther USA, to corporate projects such as creating a teaser video for New Relic's world wide tech conference.

i have experience in LightRoom, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Adobe Audition, SpeedGate, FinalCut X, ProLogic, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Google's Nik collection.

Once again, thank you for your support and be sure to check in from time to time for upcoming projects and adventures!
